Silent Hill Series To Be Re-released On PS3? Possibly
Since the recent announcement of God Of War 1 and 2 being ported into the HD world for the PS3 on Blu-ray, many people have already started to wonder, “What other games will get this treatment?” We all know Sony have dropped backwards compatibility for some time now and has no plans to ever bring it back. But could re-releasing a game series in Blu-ray become a new trend? Kotaku questioned multiple companies including a Konami rep.
“We are constantly exploring unique ways to expose players to some of our legacy titles such as Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill….Re-releasing games on Blu-ray presents an exciting opportunity for a publisher, however we have no announcements at this time”.
The Silent Hill series being ported into the HD world would definitely make us giddy. Perhaps even Shattered Memories would soon follow? We can only hope. Please Konami? Pretty please with a pyramid on top?
