American Mcgee’s Return Of Alice Unveiled (Update)
The sequel to the cult classic American Mcgee’s Alice has now been unveiled. Mcgee will be reprising his role as head of this title and EA has given him full freedom to do what ever the hell he wants. The game will simply be called “The Return of Alice. The original was a strange but awesome take on the story we all know and was pretty well received. The trailer is already hinting at how strange the sequel with be. Stop motion and psychological evaluations mix well for some reason. We can see the Hot Topic merchandising already.
Update: Apparently this trailer is fan made. Mcgee and EA never approved of it and it was simply a pitch by graphic artist Troy Morgan. McGee says on his official blog:
“”Yesterday, a few sites picked up a video of Alice made by one of our fans and confused it as an official trailer of Alice 2,…I wanted to clear up any confusion — as I mentioned in my post it was unofficial, and does not represent any of the final art direction or story elements in Alice 2. We look forward to sharing information on the game in the future.”
EA announces American McGee’s Alice 2
At D.I.C.E summit 2009 EA have officially announced a sequel to American McGee’s take on a twisted and gothic Alice in Wonderland, American McGee’s Alice. Apart from a single piece of artwork depicting Alice fighting a giant snail on a rooftop, there are no details on anything other than it will be developed at Spicy Horse studios for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No release time frame was given either.
