Silent Hill Shattered Memories has only been out for a short time and it has already established its self as a must have for Wii owners and Silent Hill fans alike. Climax did a great job with SM and they want to go at it again.
“We’ve always loved working on the series,” said Sam Barlow, lead designer on Shattered Memories. “Since Origins we’ve spent a lot of time with the series. For us we felt we’ve put our stamp on the series with Shattered Memories so we’d love the opportunity to do another one. So everybody go and buy it!” Sam Barlow tells ONM.
We would love for Climax to make a return trip to the eerie town of Silent Hill. Hopefully a larger game on a more powerful console. So you heard it from the guys themselves. Suggest Silent Hill Shattered Memories so Konami commissions Climax for a whole new Silent Hill game. With a series that has been struggling since Silent Hill 4 every sale counts.
Also worth noticing is the release date for the EU version of Shattered Memories. March 5 is when you good ol Europeans can get your hands on the game.

Does this re-imagining live up to the Silent Hill name? Find out after the jump. (more…)
Fellow horror game fans, we finally have a date! SH: Shattered Memories will be releasing in America for the Wii on December 8th. After a few delays and mixed date info we can finally rest easy, that is until the game comes out and we find out we actually killed our wife. Oh wait this is a re-imaging of Silent Hill 1, sorry.
The PS2 and PSP ports have no released date yet but expect to wait until sometime early 2010. Get ready for a return trip to the town that fucks with your head next month. While you wait, check out our interview! (Shameless we are)

Silent Hill:Shattered Memories’s release date seems to be as mysterious and eluding as the town it’s set in. We have seen an October, November and most recently a December release date. Konami is calming some of those woes with a target February release in Europe. Nothing announced for America just yet but we will be fast to post when we learn of it. It is pretty safe to bet the game will release in America around the same time as Europe, unless it follows Homecomings release strategy and come out months later. Delays arent so bad, it gives the devs some time to go back and polish every nook and cranny before sending out their final product. And as a Silent Hill title, it will be under the microscope by the cult followers of the series. So hooray for delays, for they make the game the best it can be.
Gamestop is listing the next installment in the Silent Hill series as a November 3rd release. Yes, delays usually suck but they’re always for the better. A polished game is better than a unpolished one. Also, Gamestop is now offering a soundtrack with a preorder on Shattered Memories. No, it is not the Shattered Memories OST but a compilation of 18 different tracks in the series. Lame, we know. We are already huge Akira Yamaoka fans and we have all of the SH OSTs but this could benefit the Silent Hill noob. We have contacted Konami about the November 3rd release.
Konami has released it’s newest but yet familiar trailer for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories to the masses at this years Gamescon. If you saw the previous E3 trailer then you will most likely get dejavu. The trailer seems to be going along with the alternate outcome path by being pretty much the same as the first but with a few tweaks and changes. For one, new scenes can found with alternate looking characters and scenarios. Secondly the “Always On My Mind” cover is being sung by a different artist than Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Hit the jump for the newish trailer.
Our pals at Konami and Climax have given us an early look at a few new screens from their upcoming Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. The screens give us a better look at some of the town, otherworld and is that?…Toluca Lake? Hit the jump for the screens. (more…)

The E3 2009 trailer for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories has been launched and it is looking promising. The reimagining by Climax Group (Silent Hill Origins) seems to retain the core characters of the original game but make the story their own. With characters taking slightly different roles this new game may upset the hardcore fans or pull in new ones. We will have to wait and see until Shattered Memories releases later this year.
The first trailer for the remake reimagining of the original Silent Hill is now available. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories follows Harry Mason in the search for his missing daughter in the mysterious town that is Silent Hill. The game is being helmed by Climax Group, the same developer as Silent Hill Origins. Shattered Memories will be a completely new spin on the original which will focus on unique experiences affected by the players choices in the game world. Hopefully more will be available starting this week with E3 taking place.
